⚡Understanding Edge Requests vs. Active Compute Duration
Why Do Both 5M Requests & 50h Compute Exist?
In modern web frameworks (Next.js, Remix, Astro), 1 page load is not 1 compute request:
- • 1 Dynamic Document Request: The HTML SSR request hits your backend container (~100ms compute).
- • 15–30 Static Asset Requests: JS chunks, CSS bundles, web fonts, and images are served directly from our Global Edge CDN at 0ms compute cost.
The 5,000,000 Edge Requests quota absorbs all static CDN traffic so image and script downloads never deplete your container compute. The 50 Hours Compute is preserved strictly for dynamic Node.js executions.
Instance Concurrency (80 reqs/container)
Exovon runs real microcontainers, not single-invocation functions:
- • 80 connections for 15 minutes on 1 container = 15 minutes of compute (not 20 hours).
- • 81 connections: Container 1 holds 80 (15m) and Container 2 holds 1 (15m) = 30 minutes total compute across both instances.
- • Immediate Scale-to-Zero: When connection 81 disconnects, Container 2 hibernates instantly to ₹0.00 compute.
Standard Metered Overages & Auto-Burst
Coming SoonBy default, Exovon operates in Zero-Overage Protection Mode (no surprise bills). When metered auto-burst is released, overage rates will apply identically across all tiers:

Slow-Client Shielding
The Edge Router buffers responses. Once your container finishes generating an SSR payload and sends it to the edge buffer, its execution time concludes. A client downloading slowly on a 2G connection does not hold container compute open or increase billable compute hours.
True Scale-to-Zero
Unlike legacy cloud VPS instances that bill 730 hours every month regardless of whether you have traffic, Exovon serverless containers hibernate completely when idle. If your app receives zero visits at night, your compute spend is ₹0.00.
Zero Overage Shock
All plans have hard threshold protections. We never auto-charge credit cards for unexpected spikes. Overages occur only if you explicitly enable Burst Mode with pre-configured spend guard limits (₹500, ₹1,000, ₹2,500).
Secret Manager & Environment Variables
Hardware-backed envelope encryption. The master encryption key is secured in an isolated key vault, while your secrets are encrypted at rest in the database, decrypted on-the-fly, and injected directly into container process memory at runtime.

1. Bulk .env File Importer
Paste your raw .env or .env.local files directly into the dashboard. Our parser automatically sanitizes keys, removes outer quotes, strips inline comments, and normalizes formatting.
2. Encrypted at Rest & Injected at Runtime
Master encryption keys are stored isolated in the key vault, while secrets remain encrypted in the database. When containers boot, secrets are decrypted on-the-fly and injected into process.env memory without ever touching disk.
3. Zero-Downtime Hot Restarts
For dynamic full-stack containers, updating your environment variables triggers an automated rolling container restart (/api/deploy/restart), making new secrets active instantly without a slow git rebuild.

- • Storage full: Database write operations are blocked. Read operations continue. Upgrade plan or delete unnecessary data.
- • Max connections: New connection attempts are rejected. Use connection pooling (PgBouncer) or upgrade your plan tier.
- • Connection timeout: Idle database connections are automatically closed after 30 seconds.

We believe free tiers should be genuinely usable — not traps that surprise you.

Pricing Details & Common Questions
1. Can I change or cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription plan at any time directly from your Exovon Dashboard settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period with zero cancellation fees.
2. What happens if a pricing plan is adjusted or retired in the future?
Your active plan limits, quotas, and feature allocations will remain 100% active and intact until the expiration date of your current billing cycle. All active subscribers will receive advance notifications before any plan changes occur.
3. Are there any hidden overage fees if my site experiences a traffic spike?
Absolutely not. Exovon enforces a strict ₹0 automatic overage policy. If you reach 100% of your bandwidth quota, your application is gracefully rate-limited at the edge, but your payment card will never be charged without your explicit consent.
